Not only are learning and brain health related, but it’s likely most neuroscientists would agree that learning is a key driver of brain health. If that’s true, you better get on it.
According to Michael Merzenich is his book Soft-Wired, “Just about every person… can optimistically look forward to living past their 85th birthday. You should know, then, that at that age there is roughly a 50% chance that you will be formally identified as senile and demented.”
I’m sure that Dr. Merzenich would agree with me that learning can help reduce that chance.
