Learning vs. Education

So what is learning? Eric Kandel said “Learning" is how we acquire information. "Memory" is how we store that information. "Education" is about enhancing learning, and "Neuroscience" is about trying to understand how learning and memory occur.

So who’s responsible for learning? You are.

Who’s responsible for education? Facilitators who enhance your learning.  Parents, teachers, and care providers; coaches, counselors, and clergy; family, friends, and mentors; legislators who provide funds; workers who build places you learn in, and those that give them feedback. Most of us.

This blog is intended to facilitate by reporting on the neuroscience of learning. But as my friends in Hawaii would say - Learning? That’s your kuliana.
